“I just finished spinning and washing the skeins from April - June. Loved it!”
One subscriber spun some of the fibres in FC#30 and used the yarns to knit an emotional support chicken!
We are now accepting subscriptions to our 33rd 3-month Fibre Club, for delivery in October, November, and December, 2026. We source fibres from many different farms in Ontario, and also support local mills and dyers - in addition to doing lots of processing and dyeing ourselves.
Subscription cost:
$75 CAD for 3 months if you pick up in Riverdale, Toronto, or
$105 to have all three packages mailed at once, or
$130 CAD for 3 months including monthly mailing in Ontario.
If you'd like several subscriptions delivered to the same mailing address, we'll work out a deal on the mailing! Payment by e-transfer. We can also arrange mailing outside of Ontario, so email and ask for a quote.
What to expect each month:
a package of Ontario-produced and processed fibres, at least 100 g in weight, washed and ready to spin
usually three different protein fibres or blends (e.g., wool, mohair, alpaca, angora rabbit, or cashmere)
one or more locally dyed fibre/blend
tips on how to spin the fibres and suggested end uses
mailed in the 2nd week of each month

“It was fun for me to try so many different fibres, preparations and combinations of fibres. I think of myself as having a bit of a handle on what fibres are available locally, but you have come up with some that I didn’t know about. I was excited to spin the White Oxford roving and the Black Welsh Mountain roving. I knew about Kimber farms but hadn’t spun their Icelandic. It was so lovely. The yellow Rambouillet/Alpaca is luxurious.
The variety and novelty and sense of discovery of locally produced fibre makes it fun and interesting. It was all very beautifully prepared and the spinning was effortless. I am so impressed with the fibre produced by Ontario farmers as well as with your preparation of the fibre, the notes and information you provide. I had a lot of fun spinning this fibre and thinking about the wealth of local resources that surround me … including you.
Thank you for all you do for our local fibre shed. ”

“I loved receiving my fibre club box and dove right in. The Pine Hollow fibre spun like a dream and the colour is so lovely and subtle. The baby alpaca is also a special colour and I was pleased at how finely it spun - I am plying it with silk. Working with strong and lustrous Finn has inspired ideas for using this fibre in blends. The box held a great range of fibre experiences all from Ontario producers, and each one was clean and well prepared. Looking forward to next month’s selection. ”
